NV Check Up
Nevada Check Up is the State of Nevada's Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). This program gives working parents access to low cost health care coverage for their uninsured children from birth through 18 years of age.
FACTS ABOUT NV CHECK UP:
Check Up gives children of families who qualify, access to these health care services:
*Doctors * Medications * Dental *Mental Health * Hospitalization
MINIMUM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
*Child must be a U. S. Citizen or Legal Resident and have a valid Social Security Number
*Child must be between 0-18 years old to apply
*Child cannot have current private health insurance or be eligible for Nevada Medicaid
*Parents must provide proof of house hold income and meet the income guidelines

CASH ASSISTANCE (TANF)
SNAP (Food Stamps)

Nevada Medicaid is a public program that provides free health care services to low-income residents who qualify based on federal and state laws. In general, to be eligible for Nevada Medicaid and applicant's gross annual income must be at or below 100% of the FPL (although some programs may have higher income thresholds).
Eligible parties usually include children, pregnant women and infants, families with dependent children, disabled adults, elderly, or undocumented immigrants (emergency services only).
Applicants will need to provide proof of income/assets/certain expenses and original copies of CMS approved documents establishing U. S. citizenship, Nevada residency, and identity for everyone applying for benefits.
Nevada Medicaid is free to the applicant once accepted into the program. Coverage lasts for one year, and in order to receive continued services, applicants must go through an annual re-determination process prior to their enrollment anniversary date.

The Energy Assistance Program (EAP)
is designed to help eligible Nevada households with their
heating and electric costs. HOWEVER, it is NOT and emergency
program.EPA may also provide Arrearage Assistance, which is ONCE IN A LIFETIME benefit to help a household bring past due charges on their heating and/or electric bill(s) current. To be eligible, households must meet specific criteria.
